Help Our Family Honor My Dad’s Memory
This is the last thing we ever thought we’d have to do, and honestly, the last thing we want to do. But we’re at a place where we could really use some help.
Losing our dad, John “Woodstock” Holyfield, has been heartbreaking in ways we can’t even put into words. He was one of a kind, strong, selfless, stubborn in the best way, and always full of love. He’d give you his last dollar, the shirt off his back, or stop everything to help someone in need. He loved the simple things: playing pool, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends, who were his whole world.
We’ve been trying to manage everything on our own, but the reality of the financial side, the estate, attorney costs, the mortgage, and all the bills, has become more than we can handle alone. Creating this GoFundMe isn’t easy for us. It’s humbling to ask for help, but our goal is simply to make sure we can take care of everything properly and honor our Dad the way he deserves.
If you’re able to contribute, please know how deeply we would appreciate it. Every bit helps more than words can say. And, even if you can’t donate, your love, prayers, memories, and shares mean just as much to us. If you have stories or photos of Dad, we’d love for you to share them too, it brings us so much comfort to see how many lives he touched.
We’re also planning a Celebration of Life for, tentatively set for Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at Dwain’s Bar (formerly Miss Darla’s). More details will be shared as we get closer.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping us through this time, with love, support, and memories that keep his spirit alive. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
The Holyfield Family
