Help Our Family Honor Grandpa Steve’s Memory
Yesterday, on Halloween, our family suffered an incredible loss — my grandpa, Steven, passed away. I was the first responder on scene. My grandfather was transported to Halifax health in critical condition where he unfortunately was unable to make a recovery. He was a devoted man who loved his family deeply and brought light to everyone who knew him.
My grandpa taught me some of the most meaningful lessons in life — he was the one who taught me how to ride a bike, and he loved spending his days catching waves in the ocean. He was adventurous, caring, and full of heart. His laughter and stories will be missed beyond words.
We are reaching out for help to cover the costs of his cremation and a small service to honor his life the way he deserves. In addition, we’re trying to raise funds to cover the rent at his home, where his brother still lives. My grandpa’s passing has left his brother without the means to stay in the place they shared, and we want to make sure he isn’t left struggling in this difficult time.
As a first responder, I’m used to helping others in their hardest moments — but today, my family and I are the ones in need of support.
Any amount, no matter how small, will help us give my grandpa the farewell he deserves and keep a roof over his brother’s head as we navigate this painful time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and generosity.
️ In Loving Memory of Steven — A man who loved the ocean, traveling , adventuring ,family, and living with no regrets.
