In Loving Memory of Porfirio “Porfirito” Rodriguez

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Porfirio “Porfirito” Rodriguez, who left us in the early morning hours of October 19, 2025, at the age of 47.

Porfirito was born and raised in The Bronx, New York, to his loving parents Olga Valdez and Porfirio Rodriguez Sr. He was a devoted son, a caring brother to Hector Rodriguez, and a cherished friend to many. Porfirito was known for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and deep love for his family. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, appreciated, and cared for.

In 2020, Porfirito’s battle with Type 2 Diabetes took a difficult turn, leading to years of health challenges that he faced with quiet strength and unwavering faith. Despite the hardships, he remained full of gratitude and hope, inspiring those around him with his resilience and positive spirit.

In recent months, Porfirito’s condition worsened, and after being hospitalized, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and prayers. Even in his most difficult moments, he stayed strong in his faith, finding comfort in the love of those who never stopped visiting and reminding him he was not alone.

Our family is now coming together to honor his beautiful life and lay him to rest with the dignity and care he deserves. We are asking for your support to help cover funeral and burial expenses during this heartbreaking time.
