I find it really hard to ask for help especially in monetary form but here we are, in need asking humbly.
I am a mom of three kids, Liam age 5, Madison 3, and Ethan 3. In the past year our daughter Madison was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, her twin brother Ethan diagnosed with autism, and my husband Dale just got a confirmed MS diagnosis.
As a result of these diagnoses, and the stress of handling all the therapies and changes, I began experiencing panic attacks, insomnia, severe depression, and other health issues that forced me to make the difficult decision to go on stress leave from work at the end of August. That meant also sacrificing 40% of my wages as the sole income earner and now being moved to long-term disability the end of December, we’ve lost even more money coming in.
Meanwhile, Liam our oldest (5), has been having chronic ear infections, chronic cough, increased severe anxiety, exhaustion, rapid weight gain, and other issues that have been creeping up and a cause undiagnosed.
Both Liam and I have seen multiple doctors who don’t know what the problem is and who we begged to get further testing done to no avail—so we turned to a naturopath.
After a hefty bill to cover the bloodwork it was revealed that both Liam and I have some pretty severe deficiencies and for myself I have a severe hormone imbalance and serious mineral deficiencies to be addressed.
In order to address these deficiencies with supplementation we need just under $500 to pay for the necessary foods and supplements to correct our health initially, and $120/month after that. (Once these treatments begin to work, I am hopeful I will be able to return to work within the next couple months).
This cost/investment is particularly daunting in light of only bringing in half my wages every month and the ongoing expenses of our other special needs’ children and my husband.
We’re asking humbly if you would be open to helping us out and bridging the gap so we can regain our health.
This roadmap is the first time in a DECADE I’ve personally been given so much hope and such a clear vision of what’s wrong with me as I’ve been seeking for years to determine the cause of my physical ailments. It’s also the first time any health practitioner has been able to clearly identify the cause of Liam’s sudden health issues. We are hopeful and excited that we have answers—we just need the means to be able to put it all into action.
