Our family—my wife, our three daughters, and I—are facing a difficult time after our van was totaled in a recent car accident. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but losing our main vehicle has made daily life incredibly challenging. Our insurance will cover the remainder of the old van, but unfortunately, it won’t provide any funds toward purchasing a replacement.

Right now, we’re sharing a single car, which is especially tough with three children, including a toddler during flu season. My wife and I work 45 minutes apart, and our daughters attend different schools. This means everyone has to wait for pickups, we have to constantly rearrange doctor’s appointments, and if an emergency happens, we may not have a vehicle available to provide immediate attention. Managing our family’s schedule and responsibilities has become nearly impossible without a second reliable vehicle.

I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but we’ve reached a point where we can only lean on family and friends so much—they have their own lives and responsibilities, too.
