For the past month, my family and I have been without a vehicle, and it has made daily life incredibly challenging. With seven children, including three under the age of three, getting everyone to school, appointments, and even the grocery store has become a major ordeal. We've had to rely on the bus system, which means long walks in harsh weather, especially for my husband, who commutes to work in Duluth and faces a forty-minute walk home after the bus drops him off. Getting my older children to school across the bridge has been difficult to manage, and walking to the bus with little ones in tow has tested our resilience.
Having our family van repaired would be life-changing for us. It would allow me to drive my six kids to school, pick up groceries for our large family, attend church, and make it to important medical appointments for my pregnancy and my little ones. My husband and I are active in the Celebrate Recovery Twin Ports Community, and having reliable transportation would allow us to continue serving others locally. Most importantly, we could return to our home church, 12 Holy Apostles, in time for the Lenten season with our children, who have missed being there in person.
We have weathered more than just snowstorms this winter, and any generosity would be deeply appreciated and welcomed. God has blessed us with these sweet children, and we have already felt the love in our community as we have served others. Thank you for considering donating to help us get our family vehicle back on the road. Your support would mean the world to us.
