Help our family get a new place

Hello my friends, as some of you might know, we have found ourselves In a tough situation. We have been abruptly uprooted from our living situation after being given 48hours to vacate. This was spontaneously sprung on us with no warning or real reason. They have given us no time to save anything and caused enough issues that the police have been involved. Monty has been unable to work for over a year due to a work related injury and I do not make enough to have first and last for a home. They have threatened restraining orders against Monty to keep us out of the house along with threats to change locks, and claim to have 24 hour watch on the house and property.  Together, with some friends, we were able to get our things out of the house and put it all into a storage unit. Unfortunately during all of this, we had no time to save any money and had to spontaneously rent a storage unit just to get our stuff out. We are lucky enough to have family that is letting us live with them temporarily while we try to get ourselves a home. Monty and I have continued to be nice,cival, and calm, yet they still chose to throw us out.  Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated.
