A family we know and care about is in crisis and needs short term help. The husband—a skilled landscaper and tradesman in Atlanta—has been in ICE custody for weeks after his expired work visa was no longer recognized. He has no criminal record in the U.S. or Mexico. His wife, in the US legally, is now alone with their two young children, struggling to survive.

 

She has limited means and the family is facing eviction, with nowhere to go. She has no family here, limited work options, and is using what little they have for legal aid and food. 

 

They plan to return to Mexico once he’s released, but that could take months. Until then, they just need help making it through. 

 

Any amount, no matter how small, is appreciated. I will oversee all funds and make sure they are utilized as efficiently as possible to help maintain the basics for this family until they can relocate.
