Help Our Family Fix Critical Plumbing Issue
Donation protected
Some of you may remember me posting for emergency plumber recommendations Monday night around 10 pm. Well, to update those who may not already know, it was A LOT worse than we thought. I ended up staying home from work the next day and waited for a plumber to show up. I thought it would be a half-day, and when the issue was fixed and everything would be all hunky-dory, I would go into work. Well, jokes on me… because this has now turned into a very long project. Our plumber, being the smart guy he is, called a restoration company to check things out inside the house while he worked on the outside cleanout. Sure enough, the issue turned out to be a lot worse than we thought. Just when Austin and I finished the last of our major renovations on the house, we now get to do the family room, laundry room, and half bath all over again! Luckily, that should be covered by insurance… unluckily, the plumber used a camera and discovered a divot in the pipe which essentially helped catch everything and built a dam which caused the backup/overflow. This is NOT covered by insurance and since it is the lateral pipe, the city is not responsible for the repairs or replacement. Which brings us here, we know it’s a lot to ask and we hate asking for help, but we could really use some help. Almost $8,000 to repair this necessary pipe, because fun fact: you can’t do like ANYTHING without that pipe being functional: no toilet, no shower, no dishes, no laundry. So we couldn’t not fix it or we would have been sh!t outta luck… toilet pun.
Again, we are only asking for help on the outside plumbing issue, since it is not covered by insurance or the city. Anything helps, even a dollar. Please send thoughts and prayers.
And for those who need to know: Colson’s Thomas the Train Engine set is marked safe from the Graham plumbing disaster of 2025.
