Help Our Family Find a Safe Place to Call Home

Our family of six recently packed up our entire lives in Texas and moved nearly 3,000 miles to Butte, Montana, with a dream of reopening the historic Five Mile Bar & Grill and building a better future for our four young children, including our two 7 year old’s, our heavily disabled 3-year-old daughter and our premie infant son.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a fresh start has turned into a nightmare. Upon arriving, we discovered serious issues with the property, including no working heat, no hot water, electrical problems, and significant leaks. we do not even have a shower or bathtub to clean ourselves. Many promises made before our move have gone unfulfilled, leaving us in living conditions that we simply cannot consider safe for our children. I’ve had to put my family in a hotel multiple nights just to take baths.

After investing all of our savings, time, and energy into this dream, we’ve been left with the heartbreaking decision to walk away and relocate our family once again.

We never imagined we’d be in a position to ask for help. In fact, this GoFundMe was encouraged by the incredible people of Butte who have reached out, offered support, and urged us to share our story.

Any donations will go directly toward securing safe housing, moving expenses, and helping our children regain some stability after everything they’ve been through.

We know this was all the cause of one dishonest person, and we never expected to be knocking on GoFundMe’s doorstep. We came here hoping to bring a piece of Butte’s history back to life, and although that dream didn’t work out and we were severely taken advantage of, the kindness this community has shown us is something we’ll never forget.
