In the midst of chaos and despair, my wife and I have clung to hope like a lifeline. Our journey, fraught with unimaginable challenges, began on January 14, 2009, when I narrowly escaped death in an Israeli naval bombardment while serving in Gaza's civil defense teams. The explosion claimed my right foot, altering the course of our lives forever.

Yet, from the ashes of tragedy, we refused to succumb to despair. Determined to rebuild, I embarked on a path of learning, studying upholstery and furniture making to carve out a new future. As hope flickered to life once more, we dared to dream of a fresh start.

But fate dealt us another cruel blow as Gaza Strip plunged into yet another cycle of conflict. In North Gaza where we reside, famine looms large, and the specter of war haunts our every waking moment. Job opportunities have evaporated, and businesses struggle to survive amidst the chaos.

Amidst the turmoil, one dream has remained steadfast in our hearts since our union in 2001 – the dream of parenthood. Each setback and disappointment only strengthened our resolve to welcome a child into our lives. Though the path has been arduous, our hope for parenthood burns brighter than ever, a beacon of light in the darkness of our circumstances.

Desperate to escape the ravages of war, we have set our sights on Egypt, hoping to find refuge and a chance at a better life. Yet, the journey to safety comes at a staggering cost – one that eludes us in our current circumstances. Additionally, we require financial assistance for resettlement and other immigration expenses.

Your support is our lifeline, the key to breaking free from the shackles of war and realizing our dreams of safety, stability, and parenthood. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to a future filled with hope and opportunity.
