Help our family evacuate Gaza and reach saftey

Dear friends, family, and compassionate humans,

Hi, my name is Alaa Zagout, please help me raise money for my my brother and his family to escape the genocide in Gaza. We are raising money to get them to safety here in Canada with me. I have been in contact with my brother Hesham and here is his testimony from Gaza:

(transalted from Arabic) “Hello, I am Hesham Ibrahim Khalil Zaqout from the northern Gaza Strip. I am currently displaced to the south of Gaza, in the city of Rafah. I am the father of Miss Dina Zaqout, Ibrahim, Alaa, and Abdulrahman. The living and security situation was very, very bad before the war, but now there is no life or any hope to live in Gaza after our homes and businesses were destroyed, and we lost everything. Moreover, what matters to me now is how to protect the lives of my children from this war, genocide, and the threat of invasion of Rafah. We have no place left to escape to.”

This is how the funds will be distributed:

- Application fees

- Transportation and immediate support.

- Permits and Crossing Fees to leave Gaza required at the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah.

- Requirements for lodging and food.

- The stay in Cairo for 3 to 4 weeks waiting for the immigration paper work.

- Flight tickets for 6 people from Cairo to Canada.

- to cover the GoFundMe Transaction fees. The transaction fee is (2.9% + $0.30 per donation).

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference to my family's safety. The funds raised will be used transparently and efficiently to ensure that every dollar is spent on ensuring their safety.
