Help Our Family Dog Yeti Heal
Spende geschützt
Hello! We're glad you're here!
We have created this page in hopes of raising funds for Yeti's ear canal removal operation. He was rescued while wandering the Florida Everglades by Redland Rock Pit Abandoned Dogs Project , a rescue organization. He was brought to Felix Varela Senior High, where I am a Veterinary Science Magnet Program student. He was cared for, trained, and put up for adoption. My family and I immediately fell in love with him and after a brief fostering period, we adopted him.
Yeti is a 120 pound Great Pyreneese, and we adopted him knowing he had recently had an ear tumor, which was removed, with the charge covered by Redland Rock Pit. We've had him for about 4 years, and his ear condition has turned out to be chronic. At first it was manageable. Even though we diligently cleaned it and tried to keep it healthy, the infection persisted and has required frequent rounds of antibiotics and pain medication.
Recently the infection has grown and developed exponentially, and has become unmanageable. Yeti has been living in discomfort for about a week and the the inner ear infection is now affecting his balance as well. The only permanent solution left is to remove his ear canal and seal it shut, leaving him deaf in the left ear.
Unfortunately, the cost for the procedure is high, estimating around $3,755. My family and I are seeking support to help raise the funds needed for his surgery.
We love this dog! He is a part of our family just as much as any person is, we hate to see him in such discomfort and pain. Please consider donating so Yeti can finally find some relief from his ear pain and be the happy, energetic dog we know he can be! Thank you taking a moment to read, and thank you in advance for your contribution. Any amount is helpful and is greatly appreciated!
