Help Us Cover Car Wreck Costs (Hit By Drunk Driver)
Donation protected
I would like to start this off by thanking you for the outpour of support. We have received many messages of people asking if they can help us, and we really need help.
I am creating a GoFundMe to help cover the expenses incurred after an undocumented person (without a license and ID) totaled our family’s Model 3. The person who caused the accident was drunk and driving.
On April 7, 2024, my husband was hit by a drunk driver who didn’t have a car registration, insurance and no driver’s license. Although this person was arrested and taken to jail, our Tesla Model 3 was totaled.
The damage is so bad the car lost a wheel, was shredded on one side, and the front end was demolished. My husband lived through this wreck thanks to Tesla. However, we did not have comprehensive auto insurance due to the high cost. So my husband’s medical costs will be out of pocket.
Looking back, we wish we did but now we are faced with many costs.
Below is a list of what the money we are hoping to raise will cover:
Adam’s medical costs
Charges for towing, wrecking yard, storage
Offset costs to purchase a new Tesla. We are getting a Model Y which is really affordable due to the rebate.
Uber, rental costs for Adam until we take delivery.
Possible Legal fees to investigate details, status of the person (who had no car registration, no driver's license, and no insurance) to verify he is an illegal immigrant or US citizen. I suspect he is undocumented but have no proof. However if he’s not, our family will press charges against him for almost murdering my husband.
My family and I would like to express our deepest gratitude for your support and kindness. Your contribution will help us not only overcome this challenge, but I hope to raise awareness about the importance of not getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. This drunk driver almost killed my husband and the father of my five children.
Every day, around 37 people in the US die due to idiots thinking they can drink and drive. I am so grateful my husband is not a statistic.
