Hi, my name is Carly. My dad doesn't know, but I am setting up a GoFundMe for his mom, my MomMom, Hanna Sacks to get through a difficult time in our lives. For the past few months, my grandma has been very sick. She has been bouncing from hospital to rehab back to the hospital. The last trip to the hospital was for an infection she contracted, and upon further testing we learned that she was not going to get better, and hospice care was our only option.

MomMom is one of the greatest, strongest people I know. She has been resilient through every medical struggle since 2018 and has never ceased to amaze me. She doesn't have a bad bone in her body and always wants what is best for her family and the people around her. Growing up, she was my babysitter. She took my sister Shelby and I to her neighborhood pool, took us out to lunch, had countless sleepovers, and hosted countless holidays at her little condo. When Shelby and I were growing up, she would never fail to have a little container of silly putty waiting for us as we walked into her condo, and as little as she eats and keeps in her fridge, she always knew what snacks to have when we were coming over. MomMom loves her family - and I mean LOVES us. It doesn't matter where she is, as long as her family is with her she will be the happiest woman in the world.

Right now, looking at the financials of the situation, it will be really hard to fund hospice, medical, and funeral costs on our own. Even if you've never met MomMom, or only had the chance to briefly meet her, she loved you anyway, no matter what (unless maybe you wore white after labor day). Please consider making a donation, no matter how big or small, in MomMom's memory in order to help the people she loves most in the world get through this very tough time in our lives.
