Hi everyone,

We’re the Simmons family — and many of you know that we’ve been navigating the ups and downs of my ongoing cancer treatment. It’s been a long road filled with challenges, appointments, scans, and side effects that seem to reach into every corner of our daily life.

While I’ve been tolerating treatment quite well, the side effects are far and wide, making it a challenge to keep things on track at home. It takes a toll physically, emotionally, and financially. We do our best to stay positive for our 5-year-old, to keep up routine, and keep our home full of love, but it’s hard.

We’re asking for help with some of the things that fall through the cracks when treatment takes over:

Lawn and yard maintenance (I can’t safely manage it)

Over-the-counter comfort and palliative items that help make treatment days and subsequent side effects more bearable

Groceries and basic household needs that keep our family going week to week

And — maybe the biggest dream on this list — we want to take a real vacation. Not a quick weekend or a “getaway” between appointments, but a genuine, beautiful, no-stress, “breathe again” kind of trip. We want our little dude to see us laugh, rest, and feel normal again — to build core memories that aren’t shrouded in cancer.

We understand that every family has their own struggles, and we don’t take anyone’s kindness for granted. Every donation, every share, every kind message makes a difference. It helps take some of the pressure off and gives us moments of peace in the middle of all this chaos.

Your support will go directly toward maintaining our home, covering out-of-pocket comfort items that ease side effects, keeping food on the table, and saving for that one special family trip that gives us something joyful to look forward to.
