Hello, my name is Leslie. I am Frankie's mom.

Frankie has had an uphill battle since birth. Born at 25 weeks and 6 days on August 21st 2022

He was diagnosed with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) / severe chronic lung disease. He had pulmonary hypertension, he was trached, had a G-tube, and a central line for constant IV access.

My baby boy has never been home; hospitals have been all he has ever known. Early September, we were told the worst news. Frankie was now at end-stage lung disease, and his doctors did not think he would come out of it.

he was paralyzed and sedated for the past almost month to two to keep him comfortable and we kept the faith we prayed and hoped for a miracle to fall from the sky and our son to be ok. Early morning 11/4/2024 Frankie’s blood pressure dropped, his heart stopped and he was not able to be resuscitated. I walked back into the hospital with nurses and staff with tears in their eyes and I knew. My heart dropped. With Frankie’s severe BPD there is no cure it’s just giving time for the lungs to develop and grow. my sweets boys never did.

Frankie deserved to come home Frankie deserved to live his life next to us and his baby brother. He fought to the very end he was brave and strong and still put up a smile even on his worst days. My heart breaks imagining the life he could’ve had if he didn’t have to struggle in this way.

All donations that are made are to give our baby boy the most beautiful ceremony and finally let him rest after 2years of fighting.

My son touched the hearts of everyone he met in the hospital. He was so happy and smiley and always giggling. He was the most brave, the strongest, and most of all Frankie Elijah was one of a kind. thank you in advance for anything and everything.
