Hello. Around 2 years ago, during the beginning of Covid 19, our family fell into very tragic and unbelievable circumstances that have paved an incredibly rocky road for us that recently took a major turn for the worse. 2 years ago, our mother began her battle with leukemia that had very unfortunately begun shortly after our father fell incredibly ill from a very unexpected illness (Listeria and meningitis). He was in a coma for about a year and a half.
Eventually, our father came out of his coma and returned home, although he was bedridden. However, our mothers cancer was continuing to worsen and eventually we had to pay 495$ out of pocket weekly for her medication. This was a big challenge as our parents had retired quite early and we were never expecting such expenses to pop up. On the 31st of August, despite our efforts our mother passed away. While we were recovering from the mental and financial shock, on the 14th of September our father had very unexpectedly passed away while getting a heart surgery with 98% success rates and we were left in a very hard position.
Our father was not at all expected to pass away and we had put off rewriting the will until after his surgery. Now we are in a tough position that has popped up out of absolutely nowhere and continued to add insult to injury as all of our inheritance is locked away. It is beginning to be challenging to pay for monthly expenses such as groceries while also worrying about having money for further emergencies, etc.
Now, my younger sister and I are left to ourselves and trying to figure things out. Dealing with my mother's medication and then the expenses of death has also done a number on our savings, and not only this but taking care of our parents was a full-time job that didn't leave us any room to work.
We thank our community and all of our viewers for their time and hearing out our unfortunate story.
