Yesterday, our lives changed in the most incredible way: my husband, Jamel, received his kidney transplant.

After a long and difficult journey battling kidney disease, God answered our prayers in a way we will never forget. We are beyond grateful for this second chance at life, and we give all the glory to Him. We also want to honor and thank the selfless donor and their family for making this miracle possible. We are praying for their family and covering them in love during this time.

While we are celebrating this blessing, we are now entering a new season: recovery.

Jamel will need to remain in West Virginia for at least a month, possibly longer, so he can be closely monitored by his transplant team. During this time, I will be out of work so I can care for him and be by his side every step of the way.

We are asking for support to help cover the unexpected expenses that come with this journey, including:
