My husband and I are working hard to provide a safe and happy home for our daughter, but the financial stress from our car and home loans is making things difficult. I am a stay-at-home mom, and my husband is a full-time firefighter. His yearly salary is not compatible with the risks involved in his job, and I worry about leaving our child with a sitter if I were to go back to work. The burden of debt is getting in the way of giving our daughter the stress-free childhood she deserves.
Being debt-free would mean we could focus on our family, spend more time together, and make memories with our daughter. It would allow us to be active parents in her life, rather than both of us needing to pick up extra jobs just to make ends meet. We wouldn’t have to worry about financial crises, and we could start blessing others with the income we do have. Our hope is to give our daughter a childhood filled with love, stability, and joy, without the constant worry of debt hanging over us.
Anything at all would help us get closer to financial freedom and allow us to focus on what matters most—our family. We are so grateful for the love and support that our family and friends have given us this far, and we aspire to help others the way we have been helped. We just want to be family focused and financially stable so that maybe we don’t have to miss milestones with our daughter as she grows up.
