Hi everyone,
My name is Rachel, and together with my partner I’m fundraising for our sweet girl, Ellie.
Ellie came into our lives two years ago while I was working as a veterinary nurse. She had been through so much already. Her previous owner’s larger dogs attacked her, and she needed a safe, loving home. The moment I met her, I knew I couldn’t let her go through any more pain. We adopted her, and from that day forward, we promised to give her all the love and protection she deserved.
For a long time, Ellie was a happy, healthy girl. But a few months ago, while we were treating an eye ulcer, we discovered she had developed KCS (dry eye). Daily medication has helped us manage it, and she’s been so brave through it all. Then, during a routine heart check, we received news that broke our hearts — Ellie’s mitral and tricuspid valves are failing.
She’s only two years old. She has so much life left to live.
After countless hours of research, we found a surgery that could truly give her a second chance: an advanced mitral valve “edge-to-edge” repair. It’s her best hope, but it comes at an enormous cost.
The total for surgery and essential care is just under €20,000, covering:
• Specialized mitral valve repair
• Anesthesia and advanced monitoring
• Pre-surgical bloodwork and echocardiography
• Hospitalization, catheter placement, and aftercare
Ellie isn’t just our dog, she’s family. She’s the most gentle, loving soul you could ever meet. She’s been my comfort during hard times, and she has an incredible way of bringing joy to everyone around her. Now she needs help, and I can’t do this on my own.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward giving Ellie the chance at more long walks, more cuddles on the couch, and more years filled with love. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us fight for Ellie’s future.
With love,
Rachel, Tim & baby Ellie
