Hi everyone,

We never imagined we would be writing something like this but our beloved dog Doucette was recently attacked by a pitbull and has been fighting hard ever since.

She has already gone through so much. She had her first emergency procedure on April 16th but unfortunately it did not hold and her condition worsened again.

She had to undergo a second procedure on Monday, April 20th, hoping it would finally stabilize her and put her on the path to healing.

Right now, we are in a very difficult waiting period. She needs a recheck because there are concerns that this second procedure may also be failing.

Her next appointment is Thursday, April 23rd.

There is a possibility she will need a third procedure, and we are doing everything we can to stay hopeful and keep her comfortable.

Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking. She is not just a pet, she is family and seeing her in pain has been incredibly hard for us.

The veterinary costs are quickly becoming overwhelming, especially with multiple emergency procedures, medications and the possibility of more care ahead. We are asking for help so we can continue giving her every chance to recover without the added weight of financial stress.
