Lito Cordero, also known as Sir Lito, Litz, or Tolits to most of us here in Canada is in one of his biggest life battles. To anyone unaware, Lito has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. He has kept this condition to himself and underwent all procedures involved on his own. His perseverance to overcome this is commendable and he made sure that he would not let people be burdened by his fight against cancer.

Sir Litz has been a selfless part of our community here in Olds, Alberta, Canada. He extended himself even for free with his time, talent, and unconditional help to anyone who needed it. He is a gem to have as a friend and has always been a source of positivity for many of us.

Earlier this year he decided he wanted to take a break to be with his mother (Nanay) and family while he still has some strength. His mom also has a medical condition that he is constantly supporting since he has been able to earn a living. During his stay in the Philippines, he tried to settle a steady income for himself and his family being the breadwinner for his family too. But as we all know, managing back home financially is difficult and may not always go according to plan. His intention of coming back to Canada took on a different turn when he was rushed into emergency at Diliman Doctors Hospital in the Philippines, underwent tests, and will be undergoing surgery. We can see that his health has started to go downhill these past few months. His initial medical bill at the moment is already PHP 224,851.84 for 3 days only! As we are all aware, health care in the Philippines entails monetary resources which he will, if not already, struggle with.
