Our daughter Tara  (Tara Buckley) has recently received a diagnosis of cancer. The prognosis is good, but she will be having surgery at the beginning of October. She is currently a single mom with 3 of her kids still living at home. One of her biggest stressors regarding her diagnosis, is financial.

Tara works as home health nurse. Recovery from her surgery will take six weeks and she will not be able to work at all during that time. She does not have enough paid leave to cover this time period and her employer does not provide short term disability pay benefits. To cover rent and basic bills during her recovery period  in October and November she will need $3,200. We are asking for help from our friends to  raise this amount to carry her through her recovery. Any amount towards this would be helpful.

There will also be other ways for friends living close to her can help with meals, house cleaning, yard work, driving the kids to and from school and grocery shopping. We will keep in touch with ways you can help locally if you are able.
