Help Our Daughter Lonie Recover After a Vicious Dog Attack
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Richard McNeal Jr., and I’m reaching out on behalf of my wife, Tyreisha, and our four children. What was supposed to be a life-changing cross-country journey for our family has quickly turned into a devastating emergency.
We are a close-knit, hands-on family doing everything we can to stay strong for our children. Any donation, no matter how small, helps us move forward from this nightmare and ensure Lonie gets the best care possible.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, prayers, and shares.
Just days before we were set to leave Las Vegas to travel and reconnect with family across the country, tragedy struck. While visiting a relative’s home, their pit bull suddenly and violently attacked our 1-year-old daughter, Lonie. The dog bolted through a door, pushed past furniture, and launched an unprovoked attack on our baby girl.
The experience was horrifying — one that no parent should ever have to witness. My wife, who courageously tried to pry the dog’s jaws open, was also severely bitten. Her right thumb was left hanging by the bone. Thanks to the quick response of everyone present, we were able to stop the attack and get Lonie to the hospital.
Lonie had to undergo emergency plastic surgery and is now in recovery and rehabilitation. The road ahead is long and uncertain. We were originally preparing to leave Nevada and begin a new chapter, putting everything we owned into storage and saying goodbye to rent and routine. But now, we have to remain in Las Vegas to ensure that Lonie receives the follow-up care, therapy, and treatments she desperately needs. My wife also needs care for her injured hand, which she can barely use.
