When our daughter was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1, we were told the words no parent is ever ready to hear: “She may not live past two years.” Today, she is 5½ years old—smiling, fighting, and proving every day that she is stronger than that diagnosis. Her journey hasn’t been easy. It has been filled with hospital visits, surgeries, long days of therapy, and moments where progress felt painfully slow. But with love, determination, and the right therapies, she keeps surprising us. Every small step, every new movement, every smile during therapy is a victory we celebrate as a family.
Intensive therapy has played a huge role in her progress. Last year alone, we managed to pay for five intensive sessions at Wetherbee Pediatric Therapy and two intensives at NAPA Center. Those therapies helped her gain strength, endurance, and confidence. We saw real, meaningful progress. Unfortunately, this year has been much more difficult financially, and we are no longer able to cover the cost of her upcoming intensive on our own. Our next therapy intensive is scheduled for March at Wetherbee Pediatric Therapy, and we are asking for your help to make it possible. These sessions are not just therapy—they are her chance to keep growing stronger, more independent, and more confident in her body.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to that goal. And if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this campaign means the world to us. Thank you for being part of her journey, for believing in her, and for helping us give her the future she deserves.
