Help our daughter Tammy with medical expenses.

Hello family & friends. This is Ellie Sayles. I have created this page for our daughter, Tammy Baldwin.

Upon hearing her diagnosis, it brought up memories of past medical expenses that my husband and I have had over the years while our children were young. I remember the love and support we got back then and how much it meant to us.

Just hours apart on August 16th, 2022, Tammy found out she was pregnant with her fifth child and had breast cancer. They were excited about the thought of another baby, but fear quickly swept in learning about her breast cancer. Their world was turned upside down, as you could imagine. After several tests, ultrasounds, and Dr. appointments, a safe plan was in place to treat her during pregnancy. Unfortunately, at nine weeks, she had a heartbreaking missed miscarriage which required a D & C. Ryan and Tammy love their children dearly, and this was so hard to endure, in addition to her breast cancer diagnosis.

Treatment plans have now changed for her aggressive breast cancer. She had her first chemo treatment on Tuesday, October 4th. She will complete five more treatments every three weeks until the middle of January 2023. Then she will have a double mastectomy with expanders placed the same day, followed by 34 weeks of additional treatment, including radiation, and recontruction. She'll also be doing 5-10 years of hormone blockers., including a total hysterectomy as soon as her oncologist approves the surgery after the breast cancer treatment. She will have to face 4+ surgeries in the coming months.

Tammy & Ryan have been married for 21 years and have four wonderful children. Ryan works outside of the home, while Tammy is a stay-at-home, homeschool mom.

Upon this diagnosis for Tammy, their family is faced with financial challenges due to medical expenses, transportation costs, and normal everyday living expenses. The family needs her time and energy now, more than ever. By helping financially, this will allow this to continue and reduce the financial burden from these unexpected expenses.
