We’re a loving family doing everything we can to ensure our pre-teen daughter receives the medical care she needs to stay healthy, confident, and able to grow into the person she’s meant to be.

Our daughter has been thriving under the care of medical professionals for several years, receiving treatments that are important for her physical and emotional well-being. Unfortunately, recent legal changes in Puerto Rico have made it impossible for minors to continue receiving the care she needs here... even when prescribed by qualified physicians, aligned with international standards of care, and supported by parents.

To continue treatment safely, we’ve located a trusted clinic in Pennsylvania that can provide the next step in her care. The cost of the needed medication alone is approximately $5,000, which is the amount we’re hoping to raise through this campaign. We are personally covering the additional out-of-pocket expenses for travel, lodging, and related medical costs that our medical insurance will no longer cover because of recent restrictions.

So we’re turning to our community... friends, family, and compassionate people who believe every child deserves access to the healthcare that helps them thrive. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us move closer to ensuring our daughter receives the care she needs. If we exceed our goal, (we'll be ELATED and) all additional funds will be donated to other families that are facing the same challenges.

In a time when families like ours and children like our daughter are often targeted or erased, we have to be vigilant about safeguarding her privacy and safety. Our love for her is unwavering, but so is our commitment to keeping her secure as we navigate these challenges together.
