Help my Daddy fight COVID back home
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
I’m sorry to take up a piece of your time but I am left with nothing else to do but to ask any help for my father in his fight for life.
It all started last 2 weeks when he had a fever back home in the Philippines. Worried as I was, I advised him to have himself checked but being the concerned father that he is (not wanting us to worry about him), he insisted that it’s nothing serious. How I wish I was more pushy.
6 days after, he began to develop shortness of breath. He was weaker then so he finally agreed to be sent to the hospital. He was started on oxygen mask at ED but was unable to maintain enough oxygen levels despite that so his doctors decided to intubate him to help his lungs breathe. Since his symptoms met the criteria for coronavirus - he was tested and unfortunately tested positive for COVID.
The news got our family so devastated. More for me as I’m currently working here in Ireland nursing people but not him. If only things were different and going home is as easy as travelling from work to home like I used to, I would take any chance just to be near him at this stage. So, the only thing I could do for now is to finance his current hospitalization - this means going to work everyday even with a heavy heart. Truth be told, I have spent all my savings to support him in this crucial time and to my dismay, it’s insufficient. Our hospital bill has skyrocketed to more than €25,000 for only 13 days of admission and the fight is far from over yet, knowing how great a fighter my father is.
No matter what we do, our resources would never be enough. Given that, I have gathered my strength to humbly knock on your kind-hearted souls to help us in our financial struggles as it would be difficult for me to shoulder the expenses alone being the family’s breadwinner.
Please help my dad in his battle against COVID. We don’t want to lose him. I am still starting to build my dreams for them and I would love him to be there when I am finally able to do so.❤
Any kind of help is appreciated as it could go a long way. Thank you and may the Lord bless and reward you in a thousand folds.
