Help Our Dad With In-Home Care

Our dad, Brian Callanan, suffered a tragic fall in September that caused him to lose the use of his legs. The accident broke his T-12 vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Nothing could have prepared him, or any of us, for this sudden turn of events. After the surgery to repair his spinal cord, the doctor told him he may never walk again. Since then, he’s been working hard to regain not only his strength, but his life back. We want to help him do that, but we need your help too. Navigating ordinary tasks will take on a whole new meaning for our dad now that he’s in a wheelchair. He’ll need to learn how to do everything we take for granted doing, in a whole new way. It’ll be a struggle, but he’s determined not to give up. We’re asking for your help to support the cost of an in-home health care provider for one year, to help and to teach him how to manage his new life.
