Help our Dad through his battle with Cancer

Story

Our dad, Dave Maurer, is the most kindhearted and genuine man you will meet. On July 8th, he was diagnosed with stage 2 bladder cancer. He has been undergoing chemotherapy for the last 3 months and will be finished with his last round the end of October. The plan has been to have surgery in December to remove his bladder, and move forward from there. Unfortunately last week, they found a new area of concern on his pelvic bone during a bone scan. He has a biopsy scheduled for next week, and once we have the results of that, we should have a better idea of what the next steps are. He may need radiation, more chemotherapy, and surgery is also still a possibility. Due to the side effects he has been experiencing from the chemo, he has been missing a lot of work. If surgery is required, they anticipate he could be out for about 3 months, and if he needs radiation and more chemo, it could be longer. The family has been helping out as much as possible, but there is a need for some extra financial assistance to ensure Dave can cover all of his monthly expenses. Anything you are able to donate is a huge help and so very appreciated by us all, especially our dad. Thank you all and please send lots of positive energy and prayers for healing.
