Our father, Matthew, had always been our hero. A dedicated truck driver for over 40 years and a single parent to three children, he sacrificed everything to give us a stable life. Through long hours, missed memories, and countless miles on the road, he showed up for us as best as he possibly could.

But for the past 20 years, our dad has silently battled alcoholism. We’ve watched the man who once lit up every room become a quiet shadow of himself. It’s been heartbreaking—but today, there’s hope.

Matthew has taken a courageous step and admitted himself into a 90-day detox and rehab program. His treatment is thankfully covered by insurance, but the rest of life’s responsibilities—rent, utilities, car payments—aren’t.
