Help Our Dad Rebuild His Life in Mexico

If you know our dad, you know that his dream was to be Semi-Truck driver. While in the middle of a delivery, he pulled into a weighing station (as required by law) and was taken by a private company. Regardless, of showing his license and work permit, he was still detained along with a handful of individuals that were also working.

Unfortunately, our dad does not have the option to remain in the country, that he has called home for the last almost 40 years. We are now preparing for his transition back to Mexico, and want to try to make it less stressful/traumatic as possible. Due to the sheer number of detained people we won't know how soon he'll leave or if he'll be detained for months while this happens. Although we have gone in person to the immigration field office directly to request his leave, we were not given a time frame. Because of this situation, our family’s life has been disrupted and we are now in the process of selling their home. As well as, uprooting his grandchildren from their hometown and friends.

Our Dad, is known by many. Those who do know him, know that he is a reliable friend and community member. He’s always the first to volunteer his time and services. Whether it be coaching a kid's soccer team, church events or just helping friend in need. Our dad has always been an extremely hard working man who has been working since the age of 5, and has continuously worked since then; providing a better life for his wife, siblings, children and grandchildren.

We are now calling on the same community and friends, that he has helped in the past, to help us provide a solid foundation away from his loved ones. Any donations will help us provide that stability for him in following months. If you cannot donate financially, please help share this so it reaches as many people as possible; or if you would like to donate your time or skills, our family is looking for help to fix up the home to prepare it for sale.
