Help Our Dad (Bill) Rebuild After CA Fire
Donation protected
The fires ripping through California have been beyond devasting, for so many, and for so many reasons. The Bear Fire (also referred to as the North Complex West Zone), has burned more than 70,000 acres of Northern California and has had zero containment as of Thursday (Sept. 10) morning.
While we are incredibly fortunate to be safe, this fire has devastated our family. Our father, Bill, lost everything to this fire the evening of Wednesday, September 9. He was very fortunate to be secure and out of the fire’s harm when it ripped through his property. However, he is now faced with the difficult task of rebuilding its beauty and replacing all that he lost. Beyond the lost evergreens and golden California grasses, he has lost his home, all of his belongings, his tool shop (with all of the tools he utilizes for his business), his work trucks, and so much more. (Press “read more” below to see some images of his property, the structure, and tools pre-fire – we will update with current images once we have them.)
We know our Dad/Bill is resilient. We know he will rebuild and make this place special once again. But we also know that starting over, with nothing and from nothing, particularly at his age, is scary, devastating and difficult.
We put this page together because many of you have reached out to ask how you can help. If you have the means, any financial support would be extremely helpful. We are in the process of helping him get back on his feet – including a temporary home, supplies, tools, etc. Any support would go a long way.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please reach out to either of us with questions or any recommendations. We appreciate the love and support.
