Help Our Dad, John with his Funeral Expenses

Hi, my name is John Mendoza, Jr and I am fundraising on behalf of our Dad, John Mendoza Sr.'s funeral expenses and financial assistance for our mom, Judy.

Our Dad passed away last Thursday, Aug 19, 2021 at the age of 69 just 2 days prior to his 70th birthday from respiratory failure due to complications with COVID-19. He had taken himself to urgent care in Riverside at the beginning of the week and was only prescribed with amoxicillin. Some of us didn't even know he was sick with COVID symptoms. We don't know why he wasn't given better care. He was found on his bedroom floor passed out next to his bed that morning and we were all devastated when we found out.

This has been such a shocking and emotional time which we are working on recovering from our loss of our Dad who was a great man to his family, friends, and co-workers. He always had a special sense of humor, thoughtful of others, and was the best husband, father, father in law, and grandfather we could ask for who provided for family all his life. He touched many people's lives with his acts of kindness and giving. He was always looking to make and find peace with others. He even told people about his Faith.

We are asking for financial assistance because he only invested in a small life insurance policy which is not enough to cover his Funeral expenses and did not leave any financial help for our mom, Judy to sustain and live.

We appreciate anything and everything you donate as every dollar will go to a great cause. We love our Dad and miss him greatly. We are looking to try to meet most of our goal as soon as Sept 15th if possible so we can withdraw the money in enough time through GoFund Me to pay the mortuary/cemetary at the deadline date Sept 19th.
