Hello all, my father entered the hospital in Honduras for unknown causes on Sunday, September 10th. We originally created this post on Monday. Then we flew out as a family to all be there and pray and take care of him. It has been a purifying by fire, a unifying experience full of miracles. Throughout most of the past week he was under sedation in intensive car unit for multiple tests, and cauterization to stop hemorrhaging. He was diagnosed with stage IV cirrhosis, liver damage begun by untreaded hepatitis from his youth. It is not a death sentence, but will require careful treatment for the rest of his life, hopefully for many years to come.

He was taken of the sedatives on Thursday and he woke up Friday. On Saturday he was moved to a normal hospital room. Since then he has been recovering by leaps and bounds, restless to be independent and active again.

Through our savings, loans from extended family, and generous donations here and directly to us, we have paid almost all of his hospital stay. He is ready to be released to convalesce and establish longterm treatment at home. However we still need to pay another $3,318 before that happens and we will need to establish a budget for ongoing care.
