Short Summary:
After months in the hospital with no answers, our dad’s condition is worsening. We’re desperate to transfer him to Korea, where specialists may finally be able to help.
—
Our dad has been fighting for his life in the hospital for over three months. What started as a fever and body aches turned into something no one can explain — doctors here have done everything they can so we’ve decided to get a second opinion elsewhere.
Before this, our dad was strong, active, and healthy. He played golf every weekend and worked hard every day. He was full of energy and rarely ever sick. Seeing him like this has broken our hearts.
After countless tests, doctors still don’t know what caused his illness. He was diagnosed with meningitis, but the source is unknown. The infection damaged his brainstem — leaving him unable to move, speak, or eat on his own. He now has pneumonia and weak lungs which makes breathing difficult.
Despite months of therapy, his condition is slowly declining. He’s been in and out of the ICU, and doctors here have told us they’ve done everything they can.
Now, our only hope is to transfer him to Seoul National University Hospital in Korea, where specialists have advanced expertise in treating rare brain and nerve conditions. He’d be closer to family as well.
But the costs are overwhelming:
✈️ Air Transport to Korea: $50,000
Hospital bills: $150,000
Rehabilitation therapy: $40,000
We’re not expecting to have everything covered — but every dollar, every prayer, and every share brings us closer to giving our dad the care he desperately needs.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story, for praying with us, and for helping us give our dad the best chance at recovery and bring our dad back home, healed and whole. ❤️
