Hi there! My older brother Robby and I are starting this GoFundMe for our father, who last year suffered a debilitating stroke. In addition to his stroke, he has been battling decades-long heart disease and diabetes, which have made his recovery even more challenging to manage. He has spent weeks to months in and out of hospitals and care facilities.

Our dad worked on the railroad for over 20 years and was 3 years away from retirement when he suffered his stroke, and now he is unable to work and is still currently waiting for his disability to be approved, leaving him with no steady income. While he has been focused on getting his overall health and strength back to a comfortable level, medical and general life bills have piled up and he is now facing eviction from his apartment. He has lived in this apartment for over 10 years and never paid rent late once until now. He is currently in a wheelchair with nowhere to go.

Robby has stepped up in the last year to be his full-time caretaker because professional help is simply too expensive, which means sacrificing his own ability to work consistently. Our dad was our biggest support system and never hesitated to help us, so we want to return the favor to him and help him raise money so he can stay in his home.
