Dear SCC Family,
So many people have asked us how you can help your favorite Cruising Club Staff during the COVID-19 crisis. The club closed last week and will not open until the shelter in place has been lifted (unknown date).
Our community at the Cruising Club is truly something special. At the center of this community are our bartenders – Ernest, Liz, Max, Windsor, Cindy, Teddy, and Melissa. We love them all and it’s time to tell them!
Here are some ways you can support (100% of the proceeds will go to them):
1. Make a one-time donation to this SCC Bar Staff Relief Fund. Every dollar counts & no donation is too small.
2. Make a recurring donation. Consider every time you pour a drink at home (and let's be honest..it's probably a lot ). Just think, if each of us just donated even ½ of what we spend at the bar and door in a month, we can be sure our staff will make it through this harrowing time with more unemployment funds. Each time you lift a drink at home, toast our bar staff and donate!
What makes the Cruising Club so special is the power of our community. Time and time again we have rose up and helped each other and kept our barge afloat (literally!). We can’t wait to raise a glass (or 4) with you all in our club when this is all over.

P.S. In case you're wondering how we're going to distribute the funds across the SCC Bar Staff, we'll split the funds between the employees in proportion to the amount of work hours that they lost. The funds will be used to substitute their lost income, so that they can buy food, pay their rent and support their families. Reach out to any board members with questions.
