All Hands on Deck Needed to Help a Crew Member

Kaela recently bought her first home in the small town of Sumas near the Canadian Border. With an ambitious attitude, her roots planted, and a drive for success, she dove into her professional development and started her career with Saturna. 

 With weather warnings coming in, Kalela rushed home to fill sandbags and dig out trenches, trying to avoid the potential flooding headed her way. Her efforts were no match for the downpour, and she had to evacuate. Leaving everything behind, she held onto her faith while hoping the sandbags and trenches would work. 

 She was able to go home on Wednesday and evaluate damage. Upon entering her home, she quickly realized the three-day deluge of rain flooded her entire home. Inside her home, the water levels rose so high that her furniture, clothing, and appliances were scattered throughout, and she was left with the muddy displaced aftermath. After assessing the damage from the devastating floods, she remains positive and grateful that she made it out in time. While her home insurance is taking care of structural repairs, they are not covering necessities like clothing, bedding, appliances, and food.
