Hi all, my name is Michele Peterson, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my son, David. David was the victim of a senseless act of violence. He was shot and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Our family is devastated but determined to help him recover and rebuild his life.
David is a kind, intelligent young man who's dream was to be a Aerospace Engineer (He was in college when this happened). He didn’t deserve this, and we are heartbroken to see him in pain.
Right now, David faces a long journey of surgeries, rehabilitation, and emotional healing. Our family is facing unexpected medical expenses, home modifications to make it wheelchair-accessible, travel costs for his care, and lost income as I take time away from work to be by his side.
