Hi everyone,
My name is Jessica, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my friends and their families in Cebu Province — especially in Danao, Consolacion, Liloan, and Talisay — who have lost nearly everything after Super Typhoon Tino tore through our communities.
One of my closest friends shared in her social media account what she went through that night — and her words broke my heart.
“I honestly thought that was our last day. Everything I used to see only on the news — we lived through it. The floodwaters came so fast and strong that we were trapped inside our house. The main door wouldn’t open because of the pressure from the water, and when I finally managed to push it open, our screen door was blocked by a cabinet that had floated over from our neighbor’s home.
We’re only alive today because of our neighbors who risked their lives to save us.”
When the water finally receded, what they saw was heartbreaking — homes reduced to debris, furniture floating in the mud, and families standing in the ruins of everything they had worked for. Many have no place to return to, no dry clothes, and no food left.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you.
This fundraiser aims to help them and other affected families in Cebu get back on their feet. Every donation will go toward:
• Food and clean drinking water for displaced families
• Clothing and hygiene kits for those who lost everything
• Materials for home repairs and rebuilding
• Basic support for children and elderly survivors
Cebuanos are known for their resilience and strong community spirit — but right now, they need our help.
Even the smallest amount can make a huge difference. Please consider donating or sharing this campaign with others who might want to help. Your kindness will bring real hope to families trying to start over from nothing.
From all of us from Cebu, thank you for your love, generosity, and prayers.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Jessica Dicdican
