Help Our Community Band Buy a Bass Drum

The Covington Concert Band is currently in its third year of existence and has grown to seventy active volunteer members. With rapid growth comes the need for better instruments, specifically larger stationary instruments. These instruments are required to perform our music as the composers intended. Unfortunately, these larger musical instruments are very expensive.

Our biggest current need is a concert bass drum (as shown above). This large drum (36" dia. x 22") will be used at weekly rehearsals and performances. Ninety-nine percent of our repertoire can't be performed without one. Currently, we are using a very old and tattered converted marching bass drum for this purpose.
