Help Our Church – Sponsor My 15km Open-Water Swim!

Our small but vibrant Eastern Orthodox church in Leyland Lancashire brings together people from British, Greek, Serbian, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, and many other backgrounds.

We need your help to repair our crumbling east wall, leaking roof, and damaged plaster— securing our building for future generations.

On July 5th, 2025, I’ll attempt an Ultra-Marathon 15km Open-Water Swim at Salford Quays—It’s like swimming 600 pool lengths, the Gibraltar straight or half the English Channel. No wetsuit - just Grit! The cold will be challenging and the swim will take me 5+ hours.

This isn’t just about endurance—it’s about faith, community, and preserving a sacred space. If we raise enough, I’ll even take on the English Channel next for charity!
