On February 4th, 2026, Throne of God – House of Prayer experienced a devastating loss.

A fire at Extra Space Storage in Riverside destroyed everything our church had stored — instruments, equipment, furniture, and more. We need your help to restore our capacity to worship God and continue to serve our community.

WHAT HAPPENED

After our church (Throne of God – House of Prayer) lease ended and renewal was not possible due to new ownership of the premises, we carefully stored our furniture, musical instruments, audio and video equipment, etc. at Extra Space Storage, 5910 Mission Blvd., Riverside — while we worked diligently to secure a new worship space.

In the meantime, God made a way, and we were graciously welcomed to share worship space with another church. Then, on February 4th, 2026, tragedy struck. A fire broke out at the facility and our storage unit — along with several others — was consumed by the blaze. Everything we had built through years of sacrifice and faithful giving, was lost in a matter of hours.

We are grateful to God that no life was lost.

Unfortunately, our insurance policy ended when we vacated our building and did not extend coverage to the storage unit. The coverage provided through the storage company accounts for only a very small fraction of the value of what was lost. We are left with a significant gap we cannot bridge on our own.

But by the grace of God, we are not defeated. Our doors remain open. The assignment of Throne of God House of Prayer remains the same: to be a house of prayer for all nations — a place where lives are transformed, the broken are made whole, and the lost are found. The work of God must go on.
