Hey there, greetings from Davis and Maddy. We are setting this up for our dear friend Kent King. He is going to be out of work for atleast several weeks , and we want to help him anyway we can. As we all know being out of work and also still having everything in life to pay for will not be easy. Anything helps so whatever you can donate is much appreciated! Here’s a little bit about what is happening…

Kent was diagnosed with diabetic macular edema that had led to scar tissue forming across his retinas.

Within just weeks of starting his first treatments, his vision worsened, and he experienced a detached retina. This made his situation urgent and far more complex. Despite injections and laser therapy, the damage progressed quickly, leaving him with significant vision loss in both eyes.

His doctors determined he needed emergency surgery called a pars plana vitrectomy with membrane peel — a delicate procedure to remove scar tissue and reattach the retina in hopes of saving and recovering his vision. Kent and Molly had to hop on a last minute flight to Kelowna, to get the surgery done. Stay for a few days and then rent a car to return back home in Calgary.

It’s going to take a lot of patience on Kent’s part , along with his two dogs Iva and Honey, and his wife Molly who will obviously be helping to take care of him the most during recovery. Some help with finances will go a long way to help while he’s out , and to try and keep the stress down as much as possible.
