We're making this post on behalf of our brother, Cameron, who recently suffered devastating flooding as a result of the recent storms that hit the Hawaiian islands. Cam, who works as a DJ on the North Shore of O'ahu, had nearly all of his equipment as well as his car flooded and destroyed by the effects of this flood. We're asking for support to help Cameron rebuild his essential equipment and help him get back to work. We appreciate any support you can provide - Our brother has built his life around music and the community on the North Shore, creating a life there through sharing his passion and love for music with others. To see him lose everything so suddenly is heartbreaking, but we are incredibly grateful he is safe and for the community he is working with to rebuild and repair the devastating damages they suffered. Contributions will directly support his ability to return to work as this community begins to heal.
Below is a message from Cameron:
"Aloha - my name is Cameron. I am asking for help after unexpected flooding caused major damage to both my DJ equipment and my car. Over the past 3+ years, I’ve invested everything into building my DJ setup — this isn’t just a passion, it’s my main source of income. While not everything was lost, a large portion of the gear I rely on to perform, book gigs, and make money was damaged or destroyed. On top of that, my car was flooded all the way up to the steering wheel, leaving me without reliable transportation to gigs, move equipment, or get around the island.
This situation has put me in a position where I’m unable to work the way I normally do, and I’m now facing the reality of having to rebuild both my setup and my mobility from the ground up. I’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover the cost of replacing essential DJ equipment and getting back on the road. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping me get back to work. If you’ve ever supported me, come out to a set, or believe in what I do, I would truly appreciate your help. And if you’re not able to donate, sharing this page goes a long way. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give."
You can contribute to the GoFundMe, or to Cameron directly using his Venmo @Cam-Conger
