Help our Brother Paul Yeager

  This is to try to get some help for our brother, Paul Yeager. You may know Paul from the heating service. He is 47 years old and married to Jessica (Dayton). They have two girls with a boy still at home. Paul has become very sick with a disease called CLIPPERS. It is a very rare disorder of the central nervous system that mimics the symptoms of MS. According to internet research it is caused by inflammation of the brain stem. I could not find anything that explains how you get the disease, but the general thinking is that it is genetic. Paul has not been able to walk for a while now and the right side of his body has become desensitized. He is plagued with tingling and random jolts that feel like an electric shock. He most recently has developed blurred vision. The local Doctors began treating him for MS when his symptoms started and when he wasn’t responding to the treatments, Paul decided to go to Pittsburgh to get a second opinion. We are not blaming anyone for a misdiagnosis because it is a very rare and difficult disease to isolate. It is typically diagnosed only after ruling out all things similar, which is how Paul became diagnosed with CLIPPERS. Consequently, Paul has been unable to work and Jessica has missed a lot of work providing care for him. He does have health insurance but the co-pays and uncovered expenses are becoming a burden. The family has helped a lot but can only do so much. We appreciate you taking the time to read this and would be grateful for any help you can give.
