Hi, my name is Anilem, and I’m fundraising for my little sister, Yamileth.

A few days ago, our lives changed in an instant. Yamileth was in a devastating car accident that left her with a severe brain injury. She was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. Right now, she remains medically sedated and is fighting every second to heal.

Yamileth is only 14 years old, full of energy, determination, and life. She’s a sassy, strong-willed, hilarious girl who lights up every room she walks into. She loves basketball, always wants things her way, and her laughter is the kind that lifts everyone’s spirits. She’s the baby of our family and deeply loved by all of us; her brother, her sisters, and everyone who knows her.

Her recovery journey is going to be long and difficult. She’ll need ongoing medical care, physical therapy, and a lot of support to get back on her feet. The emotional toll has already been overwhelming, but the financial burden is something we simply cannot carry alone.
