Our sweet puppy, Benji, has already proven he’s a little fighter. Shortly after bringing him home, he became suddenly very sick and had to spend 3 days in the ICU. After multiple tests, we learned he had a rare autoimmune disease where his body attacks his own platelets. He became severely anemic and needed an emergency blood transfusion to save his life.

Benji is now home, but his journey isn’t over. He’s on immune therapy and ongoing treatments to help his body fight this disease. We were reluctant on starting a gofundme, but between ICU care, medications, and follow-up treatments, his medical bills have quickly added up.
